Strand anchor
Structure
Bar anchors consist of three main components:
- The anchor head
- A steel tendon – divided into the bond section and free length
- Grout body
The steel tendon consists of several 7-wire prestressing steel strands.
Features
- Nationally approved system with internal and external quality control
- Easy to adapt to the required loads by varying the number of bars, bar cross-section and steel grade
- Production of long anchor lengths without couplers
- Relatively low dead weight and small diameter
- Good installation characteristics due to the high flexibility of the anchors
- Good transport characteristics thanks to the modest space requirements during transport and storage (anchors are delivered rolled up)
