Bar anchors
Structure
Bar anchors consist of three main components:
- The anchor head
- A steel tendon – divided into the bond section and free length
- Grout body
The steel tendon is a round bar with hot-rolled coarse thread ribs and can therefore be cut or coupled at any point.
Features
- Nationally approved systems with internal and external quality control
- Easy to adapt to transport and assembly conditions due to delivery in sections with couplers
- Easy tensioning, retensioning and release thanks to screw anchoring
- Easy to adjust to the required length on site, e.g. for varying geological conditions (trimming by cutting or lengthening by means of a coupler)
- Excellent bond between the anchor rod and cement mortar thanks to the use of thread ribs
- Easy to adapt to the required loads thanks to a wide range of cross-sections and steel grades
Structural variants
Short-term anchor (for temporary use):
- Short-term anchor (service life up to 2 years)
- Short-term anchor for extended short-term/temporary use (service life 2 – 7 years)
- Short-term anchor with removable free length
