Ground anchors
Anchors are always used in situations in which high tensile forces need to be transferred into the ground.
Typical applications include anchoring of excavation sheeting or retaining walls, slope and rock stabilisation or anchors for bridge abutments or wind turbine masts, for example.
The prestressing force applied to the anchor head using hydraulic equipment is introduced through the freely extensible prestressing tendon and the grout body into a load-bearing soil layer. The anchoring force thus created then acts actively on the anchored building component and the anchor does not require displacement of the anchored component in order to become effective.
